10 minutes guided morning Meditation
When it comes to meditation, many people think of 60-minute or longer sessions. There is the misconception that only then does one fall into a “relaxation”. This is just as much of a misconception as that fat burning only starts after 30 minutes.
Meditation is about living in the here and now. A short meditation, which is only 10 minutes long, for example, is sufficient. And that’s exactly what I want to do with you today.
Why you should meditate regularly
For a long time, meditation was frowned upon as guru & esoteric stuff. Then the hipsters discovered it and it was dismissed as a trend. But meditation is neither esoteric stuff nor a trend. Meditation is a technique that is thousands of years old and can help everyone and has many positive effects. Meditation helps you:
- relieve stress
- increase your ability to concentrate
- to control your heartbeat
- with sleep problems
- increase your happiness
- and relieves pain
What do you need for this 10 minute guided morning meditation?
It doesn’t take much to meditate. You can do them anywhere and anytime. But to increase the relaxation effect, I recommend the following things:
- A quiet and distraction-free environment
- Comfortable clothes that you feel good in
- A comfortable cushion to sit on
- A blanket to keep you nice and warm
Relaxation through breathing
In our meditation we will focus primarily on your breathing. Your breath is what you carry with you all your life. From the first breath to the last. Our breathing is automatic. We don’t have to consciously think about it. It’s always there and it’s happening right now. This is why the breath is so helpful when we want to go into the here and now.
Why is the morning particularly suitable for a 10-minute guided morning meditation?
There are two types of people, those who get out of bed quickly and energetically. And those who stay in bed. Meditation immediately after getting up is ideal for both groups.
For the energetic types, the 10-minute guided morning meditation offers a resting point before starting the hectic everyday life. It helps to focus and to start the day with peace and serenity.
For those who like to sleep in, it is an ideal method to start the day relaxed and gently and to get up in stages.
It’s also much easier to make morning meditation a routine. It can become an integral part of your daily routine.
I hope you enjoy my 10-minute guided morning meditation and that it helps you lead a balanced life. If you have any requests for further meditations or workouts, please let me know.
